Kick off your shoes and enjoy a Block Party that will be the highlight of the season. The Valencia United Methodist Church is holding the festivities on Sunday, August 30^th from 4:30-7:30 pm at their church.

Music, Waterslide, Scavenger Hunt, Food, and a Rock Climbing Wall are all part of the free fun and you can get the details on their website.

Country Showdown at Santa Clarita Concerts in the Park

Yee haw! You Country Music lovers will be saying that phrase and more at this weekend’s Country Showdown.

This Country Music competition is part of the Concert in the Park series and starts at 7pm on Saturday, July 18^th at Central Park. The top three finalists from the first local competition at Keyboard Galleria will compete, as well as previous winner Marie Wise-Hawkins, so the night is sure to be filled with amazing country music. LA SummerFEST kicks off this weekend with an event sure to make even the laziest of families jump to their feet; The Latin Music and Cultural Festival.

This first event of the festival takes place on Saturday, July 11th from 3 to 9:30 pm at Rivendale Park in Towsley Canyon. The free fun involves arts and crafts, food trucks, family fun, and AMAZING MUSIC AND PERFORMANCES. You can get details on their website.

The incredible Latin inspired music will not only get you on your feet, it may even cause you to dance around a bit too!

The Labor Day Weekend is upon us, and even though the thought of staying in, watching movie marathons, and burying your face in a bag of something that hasn’t got any natural ingredients whatsoever sounds perfect, you might want to aim a little higher.

Santa Clarita Concerts in the Park

A great tragedy has befallen our youth…they don’t know how to do “the Hustle”, who Deney Terrio is, or why being a guest star on “The Love Boat” was such a big deal. We may not be able to restore that knowledge to all, but we can introduce that funky disco groove back to our family at this week’s Concert in the Park: Boogie Knights.

It’s the final show of the season happening on Saturday, August 30^th, at 7pm at Central Park. As always, bring your picnic dinner, chairs, and blankets. Bell-bottoms are not required, but suggested.

Friday night the 8^th you can enjoy a FREE summer movie in the park: “The Nut Job”. The pre-show activities start at 7pm and the movie airs at dusk on the William S. Hart Park picnic grounds. You can call 259.1750 for info. Bring your picnic, chairs or blankets, and (not required but handy) your kids. The movies plot centers around a mischievous squirrel, his rat friend, a Nut Store heist, and a questionable title.
