Circle of Hope Tri Tip Throwdown

Looking for a fun family activity that involves meat, pie, and beer? You’ve got it with the Circle of Hope Tri Tip Throwdown at Nissan of Valencia.

The Family Fun Day is Sunday, June 28th from 1 to 4 pm at Nissan of Valencia. Tickets will get you entrance to the party with a live band, line dancing, beer garden, and the best part…Tri Tip and Pie Tastings. Visit their website for tickets and info.

Meat, Pie, and Beer. If I could throw a recliner chair in there it would make the perfect Sunday.

Who DOESN’T want to explore fire trucks, jump in a cop car, or take a picture in front of a bulldozer?

Kids and adults are invited to the 3rd annual Touch-A-Truck event being held at Central Park this Saturday, June 20th, from 9am to 2 pm. The event, being put on by the Santa Clarita Senior Center, will have all sorts of fun vehicles to explore, plus food trucks, magicians, and everything you can imagine a kid will enjoy. Get ready to take the plunge…into the wave pool that is.

The Polar Plunge is coming up on Saturday, June 6^th from 8 am to 10:30am at Hurricane Harbor and not only is it fun, it also is a great way to fund raise for Special Olympics Santa Clarita & Tri Valley.

There is a minimum donation of $50, so start fundraising now to make sure you don’t miss the splashiest party in town. Check out their website or call 253.2121 for details.

Memorial Day is on Monday, May 25^th, and it’s a great opportunity to talk with your kids about the sacrifices our military families have made to keep us safe.

There is a family friendly ceremony that celebrates, honors, and remembers those who served at the Eternal Valley Memorial Park and Mortuary in Newhall starting at 10 am on Memorial Day.

Not only will it have the more somber festivities, but will also have the Condor Squadron flying overhead and over 500 area Boy and Girl Scouts.
