Circle of Hope Tri Tip Throwdown
Looking for a fun family activity that involves meat, pie, and beer? You’ve got it with the Circle of Hope Tri Tip Throwdown at Nissan of Valencia.
The Family Fun Day is Sunday, June 28th from 1 to 4 pm at Nissan of Valencia. Tickets will get you entrance to the party with a live band, line dancing, beer garden, and the best part…Tri Tip and Pie Tastings. Visit their website for tickets and info.
Meat, Pie, and Beer. If I could throw a recliner chair in there it would make the perfect Sunday.
Underwater Hockey Nationals
You have seen hockey on ice, and maybe even on the street, but have you seen it underwater? No? You are missing out, my friends!
This Friday through Sunday, June 26th -28th swing by the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center to watch the Underwater Hockey Nationals Tournament. Teams from all over the country will be competing between 8:30 AM and 6:30 PM. Come and cheer on our local team, which have taken the title 4 out of the last 6 years. Don’t panic, you don’t actually have to be underwater to watch.
Sweet Charity Cake Auction and Competition
Kids driving you nuts? LET THEM EAT CAKE!!! Or at least let them look at some cool cake creations at the Sweet Charity Cake Auction & Reception.
This Saturday, June 27th at 11 am the event is taking place at the Robinson Ranch Golf Club and benefits the SCV Youth Project. You can enter a creation of your own, or just go and check out everyone else’s. Visit their website to get info and tickets.

Remo Kids Rhythm Club
If you have musical dreams for your family a la Jacksons, Partridges, or Hansons, make sure you bring the whole family to the Remo Kids Rhythm Club at SCVI!
SCVI Charter School is hosting a weekly family music party this and every Saturday starting at 9:30 am at SVCI on Halsey Canyon Road. Kids are free and adults are only $5 and your family can play drums, sing, and create with the whole family. Visit their website for details.

West Creek Campout and Science Expo
If you want to do a fun local camping activity, make sure you consider the West Creek Camp Out and Science Expo.
Join up with other local families for the overnight camping trip at West Creek Park on June 27th to the 28th. There will be BBQ, stories, music, and a special Science class. Call Leah at 775-8865 for info and to sign up.
It’s a great way to camp out together without all the traveling and hassle of hitting a major freeway on the weekend!
